Hello everyone. Here is a public service announcement from Sodium Haze.
On July 4th you will be allowed to participate in the coronation of Sir Keir Starmer as commandant of Great Britain, a vassal of the United States of America. This result is what the globalised political / media / finance and military establishment want and it’s what they will get.
You can choose to vote from a few main parties:
The Conservative Party: A careerist corporatocracy of privileged spivs and attention seekers who are captured by the Israeli lobby, the billionaire owned right-wing press, the City of London, the 1%, various branches of the U.S. empire, their own greed, egoism and blind desire for power for its own sake.
The Labour Party: A careerist corporatocracy of mildly less privileged spivs and attention seekers who are captured by the Israeli lobby, the billionaire owned right-wing press, the City of London, the 1%, various branches of the U.S. empire, their own greed, egoism and blind desire for power for its own sake. Unlike the conservative party this party has a functioning centralised right-wing authoritarianism that efficiently silences or drives out dissent from within their own ranks.
The Liberal Democrats: A careerist corporatocracy of charisma free spivs and attention seekers who are captured by the Israeli lobby, the billionaire owned right-wing press, the City of London, various branches of the U.S. empire, their own greed, egoism and blind desire for power for its own sake. This party only exists to offer the illusion of choice in a rigged first-past-the-post electoral system and to be occasionally sacrificed in right-wing coalitions.
The Reform Party: Essentially the vanity project of a multi-millionaire stock broker who expertly riffs off the latent racism and gathering stupidity of a nation poisoned for decades by the most toxic right wing media propaganda system in the world. They have no real policies as such and its leader has no real interest in public office.
The Green Party: The repository of votes from disaffected socialists and people who retain a functioning conscience and brain. Not really Green in any sense that connects with the original intentions and morals of the Green movement of the 1960’s: their laughable techno-fixes and net-zero evasions will not solve climate change, the global ecocide or anything else. As perennial also-rans in the British electoral closed shop they are free to tell the truth and propose sane polices and sometimes they actually do this.
In Scotland you can vote for the Scottish Nationalist Party who despite overlapping corruption scandals at least have the good sense to want to leave Britain. In Wales you can vote for Plaid Cymru who are a centre left group that also have the good sense to want to leave Britain.
There are also some smaller parties like Transform and the Workers Party who try to offer a socialist alternative to the right-wing lock out – but they are marginalised and demonised by the UK media so have no chance of forming a government.
In this election there are a record number of Independent Candidates. Notable amongst them are George Galloway, Andrew Feinstein, Jeremy Corbyn, Craig Murray and Faiza Shaheen. Each of these candidates and their policies should be considered on their own merits.
Your vote in the forthcoming general election will make no difference to anything: this is not by accident but by long calculated design. If you retain a shred of decency and self-respect you cannot possibly vote for supporters and enablers of the genocide in Gaza.
Please for the love of God don’t give any mandate to The Conservative Party or The Labour Party or the Liberal Democrats or The Reform Party. There are no plausible utilitarian ‘lesser of two evils’ arguments to be made: they are all hewn from the same morally heinous rock and a goodly number of them should be on trial at The Hague, not standing for public office (twas ever thus).
Since the destruction of the Corbyn Project, people of conscience are once again disenfranchised and have no main stream political representation whatsoever. We at the Haze think that a vote for a plausible independent candidate or one of the smaller parties is the best of a very bad job.
This will be the election where saying and doing nothing will triumph; an election in which some tastefully arranged used tyres in a clown suit could beat the Tories. If by some miracle Andrew Feinstein manages to unseat Starmer at Holborn and St. Pancras, then we will declare a week of wild national celebrations. Perhaps Jeremy Corbyn can beat the odds in Islington North.
After the election, Starmer will begin his ascension into the big league, mouthing vacuous platitudes outside Number 10 before scuttling inside to continue Tory tule with Labour branding: what a dismal prospect. I doubt we will have much to celebrate come July 5th and even less to look forward to.
The only good news is that this election will mark the beginning of the end of The Conservative Party and (in time) of the right-wing ‘centrist’ swamp that Starmer’s crew inhabits. Starmer will crash and burn in office and what comes after him will at least represent some real change. If that change is not to be a drift towards outright fascism, then it will all hands on deck for a new party of progressive socialism.
