Neil Kinnock to confront Loony Right of the Tory Party

Neil Kinnock is being drafted in to speak to a hastily convened Tory Party conference to confront the loony right of the party (most of it)

The Conservatives are clinging to power while trying to navigate the chaos of Brexit with a minority government at war with itself, they see Kinnock as the man who can save them from themselves.

Some details of his speech have already been leaked to the press, in a rousing speech oddly reminiscent of something he was saying to another conference, Kinnock will denounce the hard right activists that have plunged the tory party into chaos.

Tories everywhere will be hoping that this is the launch pad for New Labour  Conservatism.

Kinnock will chastise the loony right of the Conservative Party.

“I’ll tell you what happens with impossible promises about Brexit.

You start with far fetched slogans about “taking control”, they are then pickled into a rigid dogma – a code… and you go through the years sticking to that, outdated, misplaced, irrelevant to the real needs…

…and you end in the grotesque chaos of a Conservative Party, a Conservative Party … scuttling around in taxis, sacking its own staff and doing grubby deals with the political wing of loyalist paramilitaries.

I’m telling you and you will listen – you can’t play politics with the peace process in Northern Ireland, with people’s lives, jobs and services.

The voice of the people, not the people in the Westminster bubble, the voice of the real people with real needs is louder than all the boos that can be assembled in the corporate media – understand that please Tories.

It seems to me Tories that too many of our number are public schoolboys – that don’t care about whether the country has won or lost but whether they personally have won the game.”

Militant far right sect members like Theresa May, Boris Johnson, David Davis and Michael Gove are said to be furious at Kinnock’s intervention.

Sodium Haze will of course be covering the speech live.
