Prigozhin: hero of the people for 48 hours… swiftly reclassified by the west as a monster

Aha! So this is how the contortions of the west over Prigozhin during the last 48 hours are to be explained / resolved!

On Thursday Prigozhin was the crazed leader of a group of brutal murderous mercenaries / rapists and other convicts who killed Ukrainian soldiers for cash. Wagner PMC were classed as a terrorist organisation by the UK, US., France and Australia.

On Saturday Prigozhin was a freedom fighter populist hero of the people, bringing hope to millions of oppressed Russians and Ukrainians by squaring up to Putin – as were his Wagner fighters who were suddenly framed in pictures standing next to smiling pretty girls and cuddling children.

Today Prigozhin, his usefulness as a cipher of western dreams at an end is a monster once more and his Wagner forces are evil orcs once again. This is predictably all the fault of Putin, because the west never uses private military contractors like Blackater etc of course!

Interestingly – Wagner were never a wholly private company, created en toto in fact by two branches of Russian intelligence. Wagner soldiers – ‘the heroes of Rostock!’ are now back killing Ukrainian soldiers again.

If you can square all this in your head without wanting to scream – there is a job waiting for you in the corporate media.
