I run this blog mostly single handed.
after the cowardly and murderous attacks on the children of Gaza by the Israeli Defence Force I was coming across pictures and images that left me deeply distressed and I needed to take a break. I have a young son and the juxtaposition was too much.
In the wake of a tory election victory I felt moved to return.

Entirely understand the negative impact of images of yet another regional enormity in Gaza.
But many like me, one of the marginalised few, need to be confirmed by your continued courage to speak out against the myriad injustices and oppressions in the world.
Not surprised the tory victory was a catalyst to your return. They embody the cynical manipulation of the majority for their own minority ends. And they now have through lack of proportional representation an almost unlimited capability for inflicting continued pain and repression on the least able whilst furthering the greed and venality of the wealthy elite like themselves.
Perhaps their rule over the next five years will be vicious enough to change the mindset of the ignorant and misguided who put them back into power and they will at last see through their lies and propaganda and turn against them.
One really can only hope.
