Sodium Haze has been a furious witness to the destruction of the Corbyn project, the capture of the Labour party by a Blairite cabal and the ongoing sabotage of Labour as a democratic and moral force – all in open collusion with establishment media portals like The Guardian.
Now an investigation by Gabriel Pogrund and Harry Yorke drawing in part on a forthcoming book by Paul Holden reveals the £730,000 of dark money that fuelled the ascendancy of Keir Starmer and the plotters that used it.
The investigation pivots around Labour Together – a ‘secret group’ who worked feverishly towards undermining and trampling Corbynism by tricking party members into embracing Starmer – their Trojan horse. Morgan McSweeney, now Starmer’s closest strategist was the mastermind.
Starmer’s leadership campaign was wholly mendacious, primed with secret money funnelled through an organisation presented as neutral but as its website now openly states, was wholly about enabling a right wing power grab.
The investigation notes that between 2017 and 2020 McSweeney failed to declare £730,000 in donations from millionaire donors, misreported other payments and falsely assured MPs that electoral law was being followed.
In 2021 the Electoral Commission found Labour Together guilty of 20+ breaches of the law and imposed a high fine – but by then it was too late.
Small wonder that Starmer refused to reveal the donors behind his leadership campaign until after the ballot!
The fraud of the 2020 Labour leadership campaign included Starmer’s infamous ten pledges all long since comprehensively betrayed.
These crimes against truth and democracy were not only unexamined by the mainstream media but openly colluded with – the weaponisation of anti-Semitism to destroy Corbyn being gleefully amplified by The Guardian and the BBC. The dangers of having senior public figures who owe their careers to the Israeli lobby being all too apparent as Starmer now refuses to lift a finger against the genocide in Gaza.
Endlessly buffed and shielded by the entire media complex its easy to see why Starmer is their man, for he will lie about anything that power wants to do or avoid doing. None of his evasions get a moment’s proper scrutiny because he bats for the establishment as does most of Labour Party now. The morally grotesque sight of Emily Thornberry and David Lammy defending the ongoing siege of Gaza will burn long in our memory.
The spectre of Starmer in Downing Street looms large, Oliver Eagleton’s book The Starmer Project confirms that he is far worse than most know – a dictatorial apparatchik of power.
Soon Starmer will become but the latest British Prime Minister to be a pathological liar. If one looks at his callousness and utter moral bankruptcy concerning Gaza I fear he will lead us into a domestic, environmental and geopolitical abyss.
The widespread fury about the Labour right’s complicity in Israeli genocide exposes them for what they are. As we have long said though, the carcass of Labour is not worth fighting over – it is time for a new party.
